We want to build a team of local enthusiasts who can help us find suitable rooftops for solar & approach building owners about what we do & the benefits to them
What you do will partly depend on your interests, skills and training, but we hope that our local volunteers will start by looking at their existing contacts and approaching those who potentially have good rooftops for solar PV. These can include schools, hospitals, care homes, leisure centres and manufacturing units.
There’s also scope for local volunteers to design solar arrays (with full support), to take contracts forward (for those with a legal background), and to help with marketing, communications and events. No previous experience is needed for designing solar arrays- full training will be given.
We’re looking for people who are:
· enthusiastic about helping to tackle climate change
· interested in solar power
· computer literate and able to work on-line
· keen to gain experience and learn new technical skills
· good at communicating
· reliable and well organised
· able to work as part of a team.
