About Catch a Smile

Catch A Smile is an inclusive family run CIC (not for profit) organisation mainly supporting the local community along with the surrounding area. The organisation provides a therapeutic approach and promotes equality, diversity and inclusion creating an environment and culture where every individual can feel safe, valued, respected and a sense of belonging.

We offer a fully accessible fishing lake where children of all abilities can enjoy fishing in a safe, welcoming and fully risk assessed environment.

We also have Lily Pad Café onsite providing volunteer opportunities and a place to relax, eat and drink.

Catch A Smile enables children, young people and their families as well as adults to spend quality time outside in the tranquil surroundings amongst nature thus improving individuals wellbeing and mental health. Children and adults seem to thoroughly enjoy interacting with a variety of animals including donkeys, goats, pigs and horses. Most adults and children find animal contact very therapeutic and calming. Due to it being Easter the animals have included lambs and baby chicks in which children and adults have had the opportunity of feeding bottles of milk.

Catch a Smile has many visitors from all areas of life and is very inclusive of disability and additional needs. Educational settings including mainstream schools, special educational need schools and colleges along with care settings regular attend the organisation and have benefitted from spending quality time with the animals enjoying the quiet, peaceful setting.

Irrelevant of any individuals social or economic factor Catch a Smile believe in equality and dignity and that everyone should be treated the same and given the best change to develop and thrive in their life.
