Summary
We are seeking a new Treasurer to oversee the charity's finances. You would be a member of the Board, ensuring it is run within Charity Commission regulations.Detailed description
A charity treasurer's responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the charity's finances and reporting to the board
- Ensuring proper systems are in place for budgeting, financial control, and reporting
- Overseeing the preparation and scrutiny of annual accounts
- Chairing the Finance committee and advising the board on how to carry out its financial responsibilities
- Overseeing the communications with auditors
- Acting as a counter signatory for online banking and applications to funders
You would be a member of the Board, overseeing the running of this important charity and ensuring its strategy meets the county-wide priorities.
Ideally a qualified accountant, you would be assisting the most vulnerable people in Gloucestershire.
