We have been asked to recruit people to help the Small Works department. They mostly deal with maintenance, painting and keeping the railway up together.Detailed description
Would you like to join our small work team as they are looking for people to help out with general maintenance across our five stations - predominately our HQ - Norchard Railway Station, Forest Road, Lydney GL15 4ET
If you can be handy on buildings and fences etc. with a paint brush, screw driver, hammer etc. you can gain great satisfaction from assisting our team to keep the railway spick and span & working well.
Working Members of the Dean Forest Railway Society run The Railway and enjoy several benefits such as free travel on The DFR, free tea and coffee through the day from The Whistles Café at Norchard Station.
Free travel is available on the DFR line and from many other Heritage Railways, also discount at our DFR Shops.
