Summary

There are opportunities for Level Crossing Keepers to safely operate the manual level crossing gates at Lydney, Whitecroft & Parkend.

Detailed description

The role is a responsible one and must take into consideration railway, motor & pedestrian traffic etc.


For this role you will need to be fit, pass a physical assessment, wear steel toe capped boots and to pass the free "Personal Track Safety" exam & practical assessment. 


Training for suitable candidates is available free of charge.

The Dean Forest Railway is a Heritage Railway using Steam and Diesel locomotives along with two Railcar (DMU) sets providing an opportunity to meet new people, gain new skills & help preserve the past for the benefit of the present & the future.
