Travelling Ticket Inspectors and Raffle Ticket Sellers ride our trains travelling between Lydney Junction , Lydney Town, Norchard, Whitecroft & Parkend Stations and interact directly with DFR's passengers and train staff.
Duties include being helpful & polite to all passengers, dealing with money, answering queries, keeping the trains clean & tidy and assisting the Guard as required.
Working Members of the Dean Forest Railway Society run The Railway and enjoy several benefits such as free travel on The DFR, free tea and coffee through the day from The Whistles Café.
Free travel is available from many other Heritage Railways, also discount at our DFR Shops.
The Whistles Café offers food etc at discounted prices and The Railway offers a free copy of the DFR Society's colourful quarterly magazine.
