DIY/ Maintenance Volunteer
Role: DIY and Maintenance Volunteer
Where: Phoenix Community Centre, Matson
Come and join a wonderful team of volunteers and staff at the Phoenix Centre for the role of DIY and Maintenance Volunteer. At the Phoenix Centre we offer, a safe place for community members of all needs to come together.
We are in need of a volunteer that would kindly give some time to assist in general maintenance of the centre, tasks including painting garden fences and repairs. This is an unpaid role; however, we do offer support with training and development. This role could be seen as doing tasks carried out by a ‘good neighbour’ in favour for our community centre. Volunteering is as much or as little time you can spare – it all makes a difference.
Specifications:
· Ideally you are handy and have experience in DIY and repair jobs.
· Be flexible and understand that tasks may not be consistent but varied.
· Be familiar with tools that we have in our woodwork shed.
· Happy working outdoors and working unsupervised once task is clear.

We have 3 bases Advice and Resource Centre, Ewe Space and Phoenix Centre all in Matson.
We run a volunteer project within all areas of our work and volunteers are an integral part of our organisation from our Board members to working alongside all our teams.
