Summary
Help support people with financial independence through assistance with applying for benefits, form filling and explaining information (full training provided).Detailed description
As a key member of our Community Development Money Support Team, you will build trusting non-judgemental relationships with individuals, empowering them to steer their own self-management of their finances as well as providing guidance and signposting to our other services.
You will contribute to the welcoming and supportive culture of GL11, helping us to continue to inspire and making sure our vision, values and key aims are a living part of all our work.
Tasks and activities:
- Support people in the community to help them become financially independent
- Assisting with form filling
- Following guidance from the money advice worker
- Being a support when people are in distress
- Listening and helping to find a way forward
- Signposting to necessary organisations and following up
- Supporting people to make phone calls to Universal Credit information lines etc .
- Some digital support
