GL11 is a busy Community Hub based in Cam, Gloucestershire, providing a wide range of community activities including wellbeing, volunteering, employment, and family services to support a thriving local community.
LIFT is an innovative partnership between GL11 Community Hub and local GP surgeries. It provides tailored counselling and health coaching support in a community setting for patient needs as part of an individuals’ ongoing journey to develop resilience and build social networks.
We are seeking trainee counsellors to join our team to carry out short-term counselling on behalf of GL11 Counselling Service.
Individuals will need to be registered with a professional counselling membership body (e.g. BACP) and completing relevant Level 4 or above counselling training.
Previous counselling placement experience is desirable.
Individuals are required to attend fortnightly in-house clinical supervision and a monthly training session for CPD (on Thursdays).
Trainees are expected to complete a minimum of two counselling sessions per week (building up to three over time).
Successful applicants will be subject to DBS checks being completed.
