These are held monthly (some cafes meet more frequently) in various location around Gloucestershire. The cafes are usually run for an hour providing a space where carers can meet other carers and gain peer-to-peer support. We are looking for volunteers who can meet and greet carers, make a list of cares who attend, make new members feel at ease and stay in contact with the team at Gloucestershire Carers Hub.
- The ideal person for this role:
- Clear spoken communication skills
- Excellent manner and people skills
- Confidence in communicating in person
- Pleasant and welcoming manner
- Be comfortable volunteering within a group or by yourself
- Being able to use your own initiative but be able to ask for help when you need it
- Strong organisational skills
- Good timekeeping skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Our volunteer roles are flexible and we want our volunteers to be able to fit in volunteering around their existing commitments. You will have full support and training and the backing of a supportive team. If there is something you would like to volunteer to do which will help to improve the health and wellbeing of Carers which isn't listed please get in contact with us we would love to hear from you. Out of pocket expenses are covered.
