Summary
We are looking for volunteers to help us maintain our beautiful community garden in central GloucesterDetailed description
You'll be part of a team helping to maintain and improve the appearance of the garden, and make it a pleasant and restful place for visitors.
Tasks may include:
- Watering
- Light pruning and cutting back
- Light weeding and dead-heading
- Planting bulbs, plants and shrubs
Hours and days are negotiable. The role runs all year round but with less to do in the winter months.
We'll provide all tools, we just ask you to wear suitable clothes and ideally bring some gardening gloves. We will provide training for the specific task/s and can cover reasonable travel expenses.
You certainly don't need to be an expert gardener! Just interested and willing to learn.
This role offers physical exercise in the fresh air, in a peaceful and beautiful environment in the city centre.

The Gloucestershire Heritage Hub is a network of groups and individuals with a shared interest in gathering, keeping and sharing archives to tell the story of Gloucestershire people and places through the ages. Our building in Alvin Street is the physical home of Gloucestershire Archives, Gloucestershire Family History Society, and Gloucestershire Police Archives. We also have many offsite and virtual partners and collaborators.
