Summary
To develop and improve the Trust's policies and procedures to enable us to achieve our charitable Objectives more effectively.Detailed description
To create a set of effective policies that will enable the Trustees, as well as our Supporters, to meet our objectives of conserving and celebrating Gloucestershire's traditional orchards.
We have basic policies in place but they are not fit-for-purpose and are in need of modernising. By helping to create a comprehensive set of policies you'll be making a valuable and lasting contribution to the organisation.
Once this general Governance topic has been updated, there are many other tasks that will still need doing within the Trust, so an ongoing link with the Trust will be very feasible, if of interest to any applicant.

💸 Reimbursement of costsAbout Gloucestershire Orchard Trust
The Gloucestershire Orchard Trust is Gloucestershire's orchard charity, dedicated to the conservation and celebration of traditional orchards in Gloucestershire. Traditional orchards are a valuable resource and have unique ecological, cultural, genetic, heritage and landscape value that we need to look after. However, changes in agriculture and in the way supermarkets buy and source fruit have meant that about 75% of Gloucestershire’s orchards have been lost in the past 50 years and what was once a familiar part of the landscape is now increasingly rare.
