Summary
The Gloucestershire Orchard Trust is looking for a volunteer to help manage our Membership, keep our records up-to-date and follow up on lapsed members.Detailed description
The prime responsibility is to keep our register of our Members and Supporters up-to-date. The Trust uses the Membermojo system, so many of the basic administrative functions are taken care of, but some more in-depth management would be of benefit:
- to follow-up on lapsed members
- to keep email and addresses up-to-date
- to welcome new members to the Trust
- to be a first point of contact for those interested in joining the Trust
- to advise on strategies to encourage more people to become Members
Ideally, the role would involve liaising with other members of the leadership team of the Trust, including Trustees and other volunteers who manage our external communication.
What we will provide to volunteers
💸 Reimbursement of costsAbout Gloucestershire Orchard Trust
The Gloucestershire Orchard Trust is Gloucestershire's orchard charity, dedicated to the conservation and celebration of traditional orchards in Gloucestershire. Traditional orchards are a valuable resource and have unique ecological, cultural, genetic, heritage and landscape value that we need to look after. However, changes in agriculture and in the way supermarkets buy and source fruit have meant that about 75% of Gloucestershire’s orchards have been lost in the past 50 years and what was once a familiar part of the landscape is now increasingly rare.
