Role Summary
The Fundraising Manager is responsible for driving and coordinating all fundraising activities for Pride in Gloucestershire. This role involves working collaboratively with the team to produce engaging fundraising events, while also managing in-house initiatives such as raffles, sweepstakes, and other activities. The role is essential in ensuring the charity generates the necessary funds to achieve its objectives.
Duties
- - Work with the team to plan and deliver successful fundraising events that align with the charity’s mission.
- - Coordinate in-house fundraising activities, including raffles, sweepstakes, and similar initiatives.
- - Develop and manage fundraising strategies to maximise income generation.
- - Liaise with external stakeholders, sponsors, and partners to secure support for fundraising events and activities.
- - Oversee the promotion of fundraising events and activities to ensure strong community engagement.
- - Monitor and report on the progress of fundraising activities to the Head of Finance and Trustees.
- - Ensure compliance with all legal and financial regulations related to fundraising activities.
- - Collaborate with other departments to ensure fundraising efforts are integrated and effective.
Qualities Needed
- - Strong commitment to the organisation, with excellent judgement and integrity.
- - Proven experience in fundraising or event planning, preferably within a charity or non-profit organisation.
- - Creative and resourceful, with the ability to generate innovative fundraising ideas.
- - Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders and the community.
- - Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- - Flexible and adaptable to the dynamic nature of fundraising events.
General Requirements
- - Be available for approximately 10 hours per week, with additional time during fundraising events.
- - Be able to use Microsoft Teams and email communication effectively.
- - Act independently of any other interests and declare any conflict of interests.
- - Not have any convictions for fraud or dishonesty, never to have been made bankrupt, or disqualified from acting as a company director or charity trustee.
