Role Summary
The Socials Content Creator is responsible for producing engaging, creative content for Pride in Gloucestershire’s social media platforms. This role plays a critical part in shaping the charity’s online presence, driving engagement, and building a vibrant digital community.
Duties
- Create engaging multimedia content, including graphics, videos, and written posts for social media platforms.
- Collaborate with the Social Media Executive to align content with the organisation’s branding and campaigns.
- Develop content that highlights Pride in Gloucestershire’s events, initiatives, and community impact.
- Edit and repurpose content for various platforms to maximise reach and engagement.
- Stay informed on social media trends and best practices to produce relevant and timely content.
- Capture live content during events, such as photos, videos, and behind-the-scenes footage.
- Monitor social media interactions, responding to comments and messages as directed.
- Ensure all content complies with copyright, branding, and accessibility standards.
Qualities Needed
- Strong commitment to the organisation, with excellent judgement and integrity.
- Proven experience in content creation or social media management.
- Proficiency in using creative tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.
- Excellent written and visual storytelling skills.
- Creativity and innovation to produce fresh, engaging content.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Flexible and adaptable to handle live content creation during events.
- Understanding of accessibility standards in digital content is desirable.
General Requirements
- Be available for approximately 12 hours per week, with additional time during events.
- Be able to use Microsoft Teams and email communication effectively.
- Act independently of any other interests and declare any conflict of interests.
- Not have any convictions for fraud or dishonesty, never to have been made bankrupt, or disqualified from acting as a company director or charity trustee.

We aim to promote awareness of LGBTQ+ issues by providing information, education and entertainment in a safe and welcoming environment. We are dedicated to campaigning for progress and acceptance for our whole community.
We hold an annual Pride event and Parade in Gloucester City where we invite our community and our allies to join us in celebration and reflection and a number of others events throughout the county.
