Summary

A new partnership between ReConnect Glos and InterAct starting at The Vale Hospital. We need a volunteer to facilitate this online opportunity for patients.

Detailed description

InterAct Stroke Support is an award winning charity dedicated to supporting people following a stroke both in hospital and at home. Using professional actors, participants are involved in reading and conversational interaction to stimulate the brain, boost memory and communication skills, improve mood and alleviate depression.

ReConnect Gloucestershire has formed an exciting partnership with InterAct to further develop our existing stroke survivor provision at The Vale Community Hospital and we need a volunteer to facilitate our sessions on Thursdays at 2pm.

Your role will be crucial for ensuring the online session goes smoothly, supporting participants and ensuring the digital side is ready for the start of the session. Your time will therefore be needed 13:45 to 15:15.

No experience needed and a handover from one of our Project Managers for the first few sessions will be given.

This role is perfect for anyone who has regular time to give and who may be interested in services for stroke survivors or where communication is affected.

Please see InterAct's website for further details about their work.
