Gloucester Half Marathon & 10k

Once your application has been accepted, you will be able to sign up to the event via our volunteering platform and choose one of the following job roles:

Course Marshal - As a course marshal you are there to support, encourage & ensure all runners follow the correct race route safely. Be sure to bring a positive attitude and lots of energy!

Water Station - Your job is to ensure that runners stay hydrated as well as cheering them on. We have water stations roughly every 5k and offer bottled water. Depending on the race you may also hand out gels & snacks.

Finish Line - Your job is to welcome runners back & congratulate them as they cross the finish line. You will be handing out many post race goodies such as medals, bottled water & snacks.

Meet & Greet - You could be the friendly face welcoming runners and spectators into the event village and guiding them to collect their race

packs or to the start line and answering questions along the way!

Bag drop - As part of the baggage drop team you will be ensuring that all runners bags and belongings are kept safe

and ready to be collected once they have crossed the finish line.

Race Pack Collection - You will be registering runners and assigning their race numbers using RaceTec. You will be fully trained on how to use the system when you sign in.

Tail Runner - As a tail runner you should always stay behind the final runner and offer support making sure nobody gets left behind! You are also 'our communicator' out on the course standing down volunteers.
