Café Volunteer - listening ear.
The café and food pantry has many roles as a volunteer. The café runs every Monday 8.30am - 12.45 pm. You can do as many or as few hours, weekly, fortnightly, monthly, whatever suits you!
As a listening ear volunteer, you would be spending time with the café visitors, encouraging conversations. There are several visitors that live alone and really enjoy a good natter while having breakfast and a cuppa!
Whilst talking to them finding out if they need support in any other areas that we can signpost too - with the support of the Community Development Worker.
If you are a good listener, empathetic and enjoy a cuppa then please get in touch!
A DBS is preferable but can be completed through he café.
