Summary
The majority of our events are ticketed and so door volunteers are required to check tickets on entry. You will get to choose which events to work.Detailed description
- Prior to the event you will be sent a ticket list. This can then be printed out to cross off manually or accessed online and ticked off on a phone/ipad (log in details will be emailed)
- Attendees are able to buy tickets on the night and should be directed to the bar to buy tickets via the ipad till system (you will not need to handle cash on the door)
- This role tends to be done alone but can be done in a pair if preferred.
- You will need to arrive 15/30 mins before the door opens and wait until 15/30 mins after the show starts.
- You are then welcome to stay and enjoy the events as an audience member
- Clear up at the end of a night is a team effort, going quicker with everyone chipping in to help - collecting glasses, washing up, sweeping floor etc. The event coordinator will have a tick list of jobs to be done before leaving.
- ‘Event Details’ emails are sent out before event confirming times and any additional details
- If you would like a walk through of the role/ training please do let us know, alternatively you can be scheduled with an experienced volunteer and learn on the job.
